Today our area was hit with a big snow storm. The kids and I were cleaning the house and playing in the morning. Around noon the power went out all of a sudden. I was praying that the power would come back on, but it didn't.
About a half hour later my husband go t home. We figured we would stick it out and see how long the power would be out for. A quick call to the power company and we thought we only had one more hour left to wait. So, he went outside to start shoveling our big driveway. With not much else to do in the house the three biggger kiddos decided to go play in the snow. After getting bundled up they were all out and started a snow fight with daddy.

I just loved seeing thm running around the yard having a snowball fight! I watched with little Allie from the front window and just thought to myself,
"Had we had power today they would have been stuck to Netflix or other things. Instead they are having a lot of fun!"
These days it's so easy for kids to get hooked to electronics and being entertained by all the technology available to them. It was such a breath of fresh air to see them having such fun even though we had lost power in our home for a few short hours.
