E is for Egg Cartons: 10 Crafts to Celebrate Spring

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far! Today I have some fun ideas for you to use another item most of us have in our homes quite frequently. Egg cartons. They can be used for crafts, storage and more. Kids can use them to sort smaller objects like pom poms, buttons or beads. You can use them to match numbers or colors by putting the number or color in each egg spot and little ones count out buttons or find the matching colors to place into the egg carton. But today I wanted to focus on two main ideas since there's just a giant list of ideas that could go on and on. Spring crafts with egg cartons

ABC's of Creativitly Homeschooling: D is for Dress Up

You may think that "playing dress up" is only for preschoolers. Have you ever thought of using it for your older kids too? My four year old loves dressing up in princess clothes but my oldest still likes to do it on occasion too! Today I want to share some ideas for using dress up in your schooling.

Younger Children

You may be able to get old uniforms from places like Goodwill or other thrift stores. These are a great way to let kids explore and pretend to be a variety of community workers.

Of course what little girl doesn't love dressing up as her favorite princess? For the boys you can provide capes and crowns, as well as play swords (if you approve of course)

Animal masks are a lot of fun for kiddos! They can be made out of what we talked about yesterday with the craft foam or with paper plates. Cut holes for eyes, add yarn or a stick and you have instant entertainment for quite a while!

ABC's of Homeschoolng Creatvity : C is for Craft Foam

Today I have a list of ten ideas for using craft foam. I like this stuff because you can get a pack of it at the dollar store, it comes in a wide variety of colors and even comes with adhesive already on the back of it. Versatile and inexpensive. Sounds good to me!

ABC's of Creatively Homeschooling: B is for Buttons

I think every house has one. "One what" you ask? Why a button box of course! I remember as a kid I loved going through my gramzy's button box and looking at all the different kinds she had in there!

I've come up with a handful of ways that buttons can be used in creative ways. Here we go with my top 5.

ABC's of Creativity in Your Homeschool: A is for Art!

April is here and for many bloggers that means the fun of the April A-Z challenge! I'm joining in for the first time this year and I'm excited to get started! Each day this month (at least that's the plan) you'll find a post related to that days' letter. I thought it would be fun to do the ABC's of Homeschool Creativity! So you'll find fun ideas for being creative in your homeschool.
So today is A. What a better way to start the creativity in your homeschool than with A is for ART! I know for me, art projects are one of those things that get pushed aside when life gets crazy. I want to encourage you though to incorporate art whenever you can.
